Lakeview Terrace - XviD Movie Download

|

Critical reaction to Lakeview Terrace has been mixed. The movie holds a rating of 43% on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 45 out of 100 on Metacritic.

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the movie a very positive review, awarding it a score of four stars (out of four) and saying: "Some will find it exciting. Some will find it an opportunity for an examination of conscience. Some will leave feeling vaguely uneasy. Some won't like it and will be absolutely sure why they don't, but their reasons will not agree. Some will hate elements that others can't even see. Some will only see a thriller. I find movies like this alive and provoking, and I'm exhilarated to have my thinking challenged at every step of the way."

Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle also enjoyed the movie, giving it three stars out of four, saying: "In its overall shape and message, Lakeview Terrace is a conventional suspense thriller, but the details kick it up a notch. ... The fun of Lakeview Terrace is not in what happens but in how it happens." J.R. Jones of the Chicago Reader called the movie "one of the toughest racial dramas to come out of Hollywood since the fires died down—much tougher, for instance, than Paul Haggis's hand-wringing Oscar winner Crash."

Dennis Harvey of Variety said that Lakeview Terrace "delivers fairly tense and engrossing drama" but "succumb[s] to thriller convention." Anthony Lane of The New Yorker said that "the first hour of the movie ... feels dangerous, necessary, and rife with comic disturbance," but added that "the later stages ... overheat and spill into silliness." James Berardinelli of ReelViews gave the movie two stars out of four, saying that "the first two-thirds of Lakeview Terrace offer a little more subtlety and complexity than the seemingly straightforward premise would afford, but the climax is loud, dumb, generic, and over-the-top."

Wesley Morris of the Boston Globe said that "the movie might have something to say about black racism, but the conversations go nowhere, and the clichés of the genre take over." Sura Wood of The Hollywood Reporter said: "[The idea of] a black actor cast as the virulent bigot, with the object of his campaign of harassment the young interracial couple who move in next door, could be viewed as a novel twist. But the film, absent a sense of place and populated by repellent or weak characters, soon devolves into an increasingly foul litany of events." Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal gave it one half of a star out of five, and called the movie a "joyless and airless suspense thriller."

The movie went on to gross $15.5 million dollars in its opening weekend, placing it at #1 at the U.S. box office.

Donkey Punch - DVDRip Movie Download

|
The movie revolves around three young fun-loving girls from Leeds, who travel to the party island of Mallorca off the coast of Spain in the sunny Balearics. Once there the three lasses hook up with a group of four lads who are partying away on their last weekend on the isle. The boys entice the young ladies back to the boat in which they crew for more fun and frolics out in the ocean away from civiisation and a place where they can play their banging club tunes as loud as they wish. And so the fun begins...

Once away from the mainland, talk turns to drugs, drugs lead to a spot of swimming, swimming leads to some dirty talk and then the question arises... have you ever heard of a donkey punch. I myself had not (I Google-ed it after kinda having a rough idea) -- it involves a sexual practice where a guy punches (literally) his partner on the back of the head as he is about to climax. From that you can guess where the film takes us.... Death in the middle of the Med.

Review by : Heath thehollywoodnews.com

I have mixed feelings about this movie. I had little to zero expectations of the movie before seeing it this week. Sure, I had seen the trailer, read the brief synopsis and read through the WikiPedia listing which explained to me what on earth this 'Donkey Punch' was. Quite shocking -- can they really release a movie with this subject matter? Indeed they will this July 18th.

The movie has zero in the way of well known actors to its credit, save one Jaime Winstone, daughter of the legendary Ray Winstone who plays one of the three girls stuck in this nightmare in a cruise ship off the coast of Mallorca. The movie revolves around seven actors, all of which deliver solid performance and make the most out of the rather shallow script they have to work with. I was particularly taken with the performance of Tom Burke, the young actor that plays the role of shifty Bluey, the character entrusted with the job of telling the audience just what this thing they call a donkey punch is. The character of Bluey comes across as aggressive, then shifts to innocent and then sinister all in the space of a matter of minutes, and Burke delivers possibly the best performance in the flick. Look out for him in the future.

The movie is sexually charged and there are some rather explicit scenes, particularly when the crime is committed and the deed is done. It's violent -- very violent and in some scenes you will be looking at the screen through the gaps in your fingers. I can take a lot when it comes to this sort of thing, but I recall a couple of times where I was sucking through my teeth, cringing at the action up there in front of me. There are some very funny scenes and some snappy quick-witted dialogue too. Funny, but not as darkly funny as previous Brit flicks like SEVERANCE for example.

A lot of horror thrillers tend to suffer with the same problem. A perfect example of this is the Australian movie WOLF CREEK, an okay movie, but one that spends the first hour building to the nightmare -- too long. DONKEY PUNCH suffers from the same problem, but what it does fail in doing, one the action does kick off, is maintaining its momentum and keeping the viewers on the edge of their seats. WOLF CREEK did that -- as I said, this does not. Too many peaks and troughs. The last ten to fifteen minutes however do pick up, but in my mind it was all too much too late.

In all DONKEY PUNCH was enjoyable, but is it worth your six or seven pounds worth of cinema going cash? Maybe not. But its one of those movie where you will have to make up your own mind. A lot of other journalists in the room I know loved it. -- Paul Heath, July 2008

Body of Lies - Best XviD Movie 2008

|

The Movie has received mixed reviews from critics with a rating of 50% on Rotten Tomatoes with the consensus that the Movie relies too heavily on the performances of DiCaprio and Crowe to lift it above the average espionage thriller. Top critic Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times concludes: "Body of Lies contains enough you can believe, or almost believe, that you wish so much of it weren't sensationally implausible." Kenneth Turan in the Los Angeles Times reaches the same conclusion. "The skill of top-flight director Ridley Scott and his veteran production team, not to mention the ability of stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe, ensure that this story of spies and terrorism in the Middle East is always crisp and watchable," he writes, "but as the Movie's episodic story gradually reveals itself, it ends up too unconvincing and conventional to consistently hold our attention." Joe Neumaier in the New York Daily News has little patience for the routine nature of the spy flick. To him it "aims to be up-to-the-moment -- yet feels same-old, same-old." Likewise Lou Lumenick concludes in the New York Post, "There's nothing here we haven't seen in many other movies." Lisa Kennedy in the Denver Post chimes in: "Body of Lies is an A-list project with B-game results. The movie might be set in the Age of Jihad. But the rules of trust and mistrust are wholly familiar." A.O. Scott in the New York Times writes that director Scott's "professionalism is, as ever, present in every frame and scene, but this time it seems singularly untethered from anything like zeal, conviction or even curiosity."

The movie was not succesful in its first weekend, pulling in just $12.9 million, 40% less than expected. It reportedly cost $70 million to make. Body of Lies, which analysts believed a sure bet to capture the No. 1 spot, turned up instead at No. 3 behind Disney's Beverly Hills Chihuahua, which turned out to be the surprise No. 1 finisher with a take of $17.5 million in its second week, and Sony/Screen Gems's Quarantine, which wound up with $14.2 million -- about $2 million more than it cost to make. A Warners Brothers Executive said he was disappointed with the movie opening and said it was due to the controversial storyline of the movie. Despite this, Body of Lies opened much better than previous movies about the war on terrorism such as Rendition, In the Valley of Elah and Lions for Lambs, which all did well below studio expectations. Outside North America it opened reasonably well. In Australia it landed in first place with $2,104,319, where it toppled Pixar animation's Wall-E, which fell to second place; while Beverly Hills Chihuahua held third

Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs - Movie Trailer

|

The teaser trailer was released with the movie Horton Hears a Who!, and features the movies' familiar saber-toothed squirrel, Scrat. The trailer reveals that a population of dinosaurs have survived extinction, living beneath thick layers of ice in a tropical habitat, and are released when the ice thaws. The trailer first appeared on the official website in May 2008, 14 months before the movie's release in theaters.

The trailer opens amidst a blizzard. Scrat is trying to get through it, when he notices his acorn. During his struggles to reach it, he is engulfed in snow and frozen. He manages to pop open his eyes, using them to lean himself toward the acorn. He successfully pulls it out, releasing warm gases from beneath the ice, which thaws Scrat. Feeling around with his foot, he discovers he has made a large hole in the ice, and falls through. After hitting a few trees, he slides down to the tip of a scaly back and tail, losing his acorn. He slides down to the tip of the tail as it rises, coming face to face with a Tyrannosaurus rex. The end of the trailer shows the Tyrannosaurus rex roaring at Scrat and cuts to the inside of the dinosaur's mouth, where Scrat is seen, his eyes twitching.

Also, according to more recent movie cutouts, a new character, which appears to be a female Scrat, will star in the movie.

|
The review aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes, reported that 35% of critics gave the movie positive reviews, based on 113 reviews, with the critical consensus being that the movie is "Formulaic in its plotting and clichéd in its dialogue, Pride and Glory does little to distinguish itself from other police procedurals."Even though the reaction by movie critics were mixed, the reception by the general public was favorable. IMDB gave the movie has a 7.5 out of 10.

As of November 2, 2008, the movie has grossed $11,668,022 worldwide. During its opening weekend, the movie opened #5 with $6,262,396 behind High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Saw V, Max Payne, and Beverly Hills Chihuahua[20], respectively from 2,585 theaters with an $2,423 average.

Madagascar 2 - Movie Download `08

|

Like its precessdor, the Movie received mixed reviews from critics. As of November 6, 2008, Rotten Tomatoes reported that 60% of critics based on 86 reviews with the consensus stating that "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" is an improvement on the original, with more fleshed-out characters, crisper animation and more consistent humor."Another review aggretagor, Metacritic classified the Movie into the "generally favorable reviews" category with 61/100 approval rating based on 23 reviews.

Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune stated in his review that the Movie "goes easy on the pop culture jokes, I should clarify: One of the smarter things in the script is how Alex, who digs his Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins dance moves, becomes the Movie's primary pop-cult gag." Some critics complained the movie's plot was similar to Disney's The Lion King. John Anderson gave the Movie 3 1/2 approval rating and stated "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," the sequel to the enormously successful DreamWorks adventure and a Movie that hews close to the whole "Lion King"/species-as-destiny/self-fulfillment paradigm."

On its opening day, the Movie grossed $17,555,027 from 4,056 theaters with an $4,328 average. It went to be at #1 at the box office with $63,106,589 with $15,559 average per theater.

Saw V - Movie Download

|

The movie received generally negative reviews from critics. The review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 12% of critics gave the movie positive reviews, based on 57 reviews — with the consensus that "If its plot were as interesting as its torture devices, or its violence less painful than its performances, perhaps Saw V might not feel like it was running on fumes." Metacritic reported the film had an average score of 20 out of 100, based on 10 reviews.

Elizabeth Weizman of the New York Daily News believed that the lack of Tobin Bell's character hurt the movie: "Bell's deliciously twisted madman was the lifeline of this series, and without him, we're left watching a routine horror flick that might as well have gone straight to DVD. The series began with two major assets that set it apart: the concept of a brilliantly righteous executioner, and the actor who played him. Now, aside from Bell's brief, intermittent cameos, it has neither. So where the original Saw was diabolical fun, this fifth installment is as bloodless as the most unfortunate of Jigsaw's victims." Sam Adams of the Los Angeles Times wrote that "The virtues of the individual movies are almost beside the point, since it's hard to imagine why anyone would want to pick up the thread at this late date, but Saw V is a particularly dull and discombobulated affair, shot and acted with all the flair of a basic-cable procedural".

Some reviews were positive, however. British website Digital Spy was relatively positive about the movie, however, rating it 3/5 stars and commending the film for its "solid acting, slick direction and suitably filthy cinematography too", while also stating it will "make far more sense to those familiar with the previous installments".IGN awarded the movie with 3 out of 5 stars stating that the movie ties up most of the loose ends of the previous 4 installments while also having a more straightforward and less complicated storyline. They also praised the traps for being the most inventive and best that the Saw franchise has had to offer.

Bollywood Flop Movies of 2008 - Movie reviews

|
Bollywood gave some of the disappointing worst movies this year, 2008. The dusky beauty Priyanka Chopra is responsible in giving four of the biggest flops of 2008. Thank God, Movie Fashion proved to be a saving grace.
Here is the list of Bollywood flop movies 2008:

1. Tashan: Director Sanjay Gadhvi showed that Dhoom series was a fluke as he completely made mincemeat of the movie Tashan. The movie was one big size zero, nothing in the movie impressed. Everyone in the movie looked like having an attitude problem and anil kapoor was difficult to understand than a Mission Impossible plot.

2. Love story 2050: Love Story 2050 released as a contender to Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na on July 4, 2008. While Jaane Tu skyrocketed, Love Story 2050 went down to pits. Perhaps no movie in Bollywood has such a hackneyed and foolish second half as Love Story 2050. Come to think of it, something was definitely wrong in her pretty head, when Priyanka Chopra said it was a great movie. We certainly hated her as a red haired moll. Her man...sorry Harman Baweja looked like a boy lost in the woods.

3. Drona: Another crap flop movie featuring Priyanka Chopra. Drona was touted as the next big superhero movie starring abhishek bachan. Almost every movie critic thrashed the movie Drona left, right and center. With Abhishek Bachchan looking like a junior artiste, this superzero movie made everyone rush out of the Movie theater.

4. Kidnap: Sanjay Gadhvi has proved that Tashan's flop status was not a fluke. The movie lost focus on the story and trained its lens only on Minissha cleavage. So much to the extent that the candy floss lover Imran Khan was also shown ogling at Minissha's cleavage. What about the story? Forget it, the audience was held at ransom.

5. Mission Istanbul: Mission Istanbul looked like a B-grade movie with Istanbul as a backdrop. Pathetic direction, lousy performances, irritating screenplay, nothing went right for Mission Istanbul. At no point could the audience relate to what was going on.

6. Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic: Since the time Aditya Chopra decided to put bikinis and scantily clad women as the centrifugal force in his movie, his movies have only succeeded at the groin level. Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic will go down as one of the worst children's movie. In fact, it is an insult to call it a children's movie when we have the very developed in the right places Amisha Patel strutting her stuff in a yellow bikini and enjoying some lazy lamhe on the side. And have you seen a sardarni angel? That's Rani for you.

7. God Tussi Great Ho: Another Priyanka Chopra flop, this time she shares the honor with Salman Khan. The movie a very poor rip off of "Bruce Almighty"(even though the maker lied by telling it wasn't) certainly left a bad taste in the mouth. Total bore and a waste of time, everything in it was second hand as Priyanka Chopra's old nose ring.

8. Chamku: Priyanka Chopra's one more meaningless contribution to the box office. I am sure the lady will blush while reading this, she certainly has to differentiate between a good script and bad script. At least, she can choose a director with a better track record if she cannot judge a script. Anyway Chamku had Bobby Deol playing the wrong character 252nd time. Of course, what do you expect the audience to do?

9. Money Hai toh Honey Hai: Money Hai toh Honey Hai was rubbished by critics and audiences alike. It looked like the director Ganesh Acharya tried making something to fill in between the song videos.

10. Krazzy4: The producer Rakesh Roshan became poorer by 4 crores before the movie could even release, thanks to the music copyright infringement case filed by Ram Shankar. Krazzy 4 had three item numbers by Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Rakhi Sawant which were the only saving grace in the film. Among the above list of top 10 flops in Bollywood 2008, this is the only one which was marginally passable to watch.

Download Quantum Of Solace P-DVD Movie {350Mb}

It was a little less than two years ago that Movie,Casino Royale, Sony's daring James Bond series reboot featuring newcomer Daniel Craig in the role of Agent 007, revived a tired franchise and reestablished it as a major player in the action-Movie world. While some longtime fans derided the Movie for eschewing Daniel Craig as James Bondmany of the traditional Bond elements (no gun-barrel sequence, no gadgets, less tongue-in-cheek humor), the overwhelming majority embraced the new, gritty Bond, propelling the movie to a worldwide box office of over half-a-billion dollars.

Casino Royale's follow-up, Quantum of Solace, arguably bears even less of a resemblance to the Bond movies of old than its predecessor. Doggedly emphasizing story over spectacle, director Marc Forster (Stranger than Fiction, The Kite Runner), keeps the focus trained squarely on the emotional costs involved with being the world's greatest secret agent. There are still plenty of exotic locations and big-action set pieces throughout the movie, mind you -- its reported $200-million budget wasn't just for catering -- but they're largely supporting players in this moody character study.

The story picks up barely an hour after the events of Casino Royale movie. Still smarting from the death and betrayal of his paramour Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), Bond is given little time to mourn as M (Judi Dench, once again showing who's boss) sends him off to uncover the truth behind the mysterious Mr. White (Jesper Christensen, reprising his Casino role), and the shadowy terrorist organization that employs him.

Mathieu Amalric as Dominic GreeneThe trail leads squarely to one Dominic Greene (clammy, simmering Mathieu Amalric), a prominent environmental philanthropist who secretly serves as an agent (or possibly the leader?) of said shadowy terrorist organization, which we soon learn goes by the name Quantum. Greene and his Quantum cohorts aim to use their considerable resources to help restore a deposed Bolivian dictator, General Madrano, to power. In return for his organization's services, Greene seeks ownership of a seemingly worthless swath of land in the Bolivian desert -- an arrangement to which the corrupt Madrano all too happily agrees.

Still a relative rookie at the spy game, Bond quickly finds himself in over his head. It seems that the British have vital -- and politically sensitive -- petroleum interests in the region, as do the Americans, whose CIA, led by Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) and his smug boss, Gregg Beam (David Harbour), are secretly backing Madrano in the hope that a regime change in Bolivia might help them secure more favorable trade terms with the oil-rich nation.

The forward-thinking Greene, on the other hand, has little interest in the oil business. No, his sights are set on a substance that will soon replace black gold as Earth's rapidly diminishing -- and thus increasingly valuable -- natural resource du jour: water. Hidden beneath his recently procured patch of barren landscape in the Bolivian desert lies a vast reservoir of the stuff, which he plans to harvest and sell to the country's drought-stricken populace (at a drastically inflated price, of course).

Angered by the recklessness Bond displays in his pursuit of Greene, M orders 007 to abandon his mission and return home. Bond refuses, of course, and is left with no choice but to go rogue. With two of the world's most prominent spy agencies -- and one very sophisticated band of terrorists -- after him, Bond's odds of success appear exceedingly slim.

Bond and Camille (Olga Kurylenko), out for a romantic stroll through the Bolivian desertFortunately, he attains one very effective ally: Camille (model-turned-actress Olga Kurylenko, in an improvement over her Hitman performance), a feisty former Bolivian intelligence agent who harbors her own vendetta against General Madrano. Together, the unlikely partners set about putting a stop to Greene, Madrano, and the nefarious scheme they're set to unleash.

Structurally, Quantum of Solace is superior to Casino Royale, with more consistent pacing and a tighter, if less involving, script. Clocking in at 106 minutes, it's roughly 20 minutes shorter than its slightly bloated predecessor. In nearly every other regard, however, Forster's effort fails to measure up to the admittedly high standards set by Casino Royale.

Quantum of Solace is still an entertaining action movie with above-average brains and heart -- though I should note that it really is a James Bond movie in name only. Nods to the archetypal 007 flourishes -- the tuxedo, the martinis, the women -- seem almost perfunctory, and not a little depressing at times. Forster's movie has more in common with the Bourne Ultimatum than Dr. No or Goldfinger -- a resemblance most evident during the movie's numerous chase scenes, all of which are shot in the same chaotic, cinema verite fashion famously employed by Bourne director Paul Greengrass. Fortunately for Forster, James Bond is a more interesting character than Matt Damon's Jason Bourne (who, let's face it, is really just a pissed-off automaton, acting out a version of The Terminator in reverse), and Craig's portrayal, radiating with intensity and dark charisma, is superb.

There is a silver lining for fans of the traditional, more light-hearted 007 flicks. Quantum of Solace effectively closes the book on the grim storyline that began with Casino Royale, leaving us with a more-fully formed 007 who's now (hopefully) free to finally move on from the whole dreary Vesper affair. Carefully placed throughout the movie are intriguing bits and pieces that could serve nicely as the foundation for a return to the Bond of old (Quantum, for example, is clearly a modern-day SPECTRE) should franchise caretakers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson decide to head in that direction.

Let's hope they do. Nobody expects James Bond to go back to the days of preposterous plots, bad puns, and over-the-top archvillains surrounded by henchmen in brightly colored jumpsuits, but it would be nice to see the chap lighten up a bit.

Download Music, Movies for Free - A Hot Issue

| Monday, November 10
The Internet is used by a lot of people to download music, movies, games and various other soft wares for free.
The legality of this practice is, and will be for a long time, a hot issue. Some countries want to totally stop the downloading of copy wright protected materials, like the U.S.A. Other countries, like France, want to allow this type of downloading, but only for personal use. And there are quiet a few countries who do not care at al.

The Internet has no borders, and it will be a very long time before all the counties of the world have agreed on how to legislate this music, movies and games downloading.

Of course there is an ethical issue.
A lot of people consider the downloading, for free, of copy right protected material as theft.
I have heard all the arguments by now.I did hear them in the 70's when cassette recorders became available and very popular.I heard them when CD copiers became available and I hear them now when downloading over the Internet is becoming more and more popular.

In my opinion it is theft if you copy anything and sell it.
If you copy something for your own use, that is OK with me.
I have noticed that I, and a lot of people I know as well, still buy the "real thing" if we like it ,and I also have noticed that I am getting selective.

I hardly buy anything anymore from the real top performers .I think they simply earn enough as it is.
If I come along a new group I like, I usually copy a few songs, and I might go out and score their CD if I really like them.
I noticed that I must have been doing this for a long time.I had a look at my CD's and saw that most of the originals were indeed the earlier work of a certain group. If I had more of them, it were usually copies I had made or copies I had downloaded somehow from the Internet.

I know there are quit a few people who use this "selective downloading".A friend of mine loves the music of a certain performer, but, as he told me, he refuses to pay for his records. He refuses to contribute a single penny towards the legal team that is defending this guy in a child molest case.He has downloaded the music of this performer, for free, from the Internet.

But all this free downloading has a downside. A lot of people are having computer problems because they downloaded something from the Internet. The Internet is a jungle and there are a lot of predators around that are searching for their prey. Predators like spy ware and ad ware. Little programs that you sometimes download as well and that hide on your computer without you knowing it.
Some can be very harmful indeed, like the so called key loggers. These programs "remember" every keystroke you make, and send this info to their "owners". This way sensitive info, like passwords or credit card numbers, can get in the hands of the wrong people.

I advice every one who wants to download music, movies, games or any other program for free from the Internet to be very careful. Make sure your computer has very good spy-and ad ware protection, and when in doubt, do NOT download.

If you are not a very experienced Internet user than the best way to download music, full length movies, games and various soft wares for free is to get a download site membership. These download sites will provide you with the right soft ware to search for, and download, all sorts of files from the Internet. They also provide a helpdesk in case you run into difficulties and need some assistance.

How to Download free full dvd Movies on the Net

|
or movie buffs who prefer to stay at home rather than go to movie houses, going online is probably the best option. You can go to online rental sites and look for that recently released DVD. Or better yet, download movies directly from movie sites. If you think that downloading one whole movie is just too good to be true, then you should think again. A lot of people are reaping that benefits of the internet—from MP3s to video clips and, yes, movies. So do you know where to start? The first thing that you must learn is how to download movies on the net.

There are plenty of ways to download movies online so it’s best to start with the simplest.

If you know the title of the movie you want to download, you can just use a search engine and key in the title plus the word “download”. The search engine will list all related links. You can open all these links if you are not in a hurry so that you’ll know whether the movie file you want to download has been successfully downloaded by other users in the past. This is important because through a user rating one will know the quality of a file—you can never go wrong with a file that has been downloaded by a lot of online users. Remember that part of learning how to download movies on the net is to be vigilant about bogus files that could pose threat to our PCs. The easiest way to know whether a movie file is of good quality or not is by looking at its file size. A single video CD can record up to 700 megabytes (and you would usually require 2 video CDs or more to record one whole movie) while a single DVD disc has a capacity of over 4 gigabytes. So a quality video file is anything between 1GB and 4GB. If you have a broadband connection of at least 1Mbps, then you should be finished downloading within the day.

Another thing worth noting when you want to learn more on how to download movies on the net is the use of torrent engines. Using the basic principle of search engines, torrent engines looks for torrent movie files—concatenated parts of a single file that can be shared and copied by online users (if a user is offline, then his torrents will not be available for download). Since this is user-based, a successful download can be measured by the number of seeders as opposed to the number of leechers. A good internet connection is not enough, you have to choose the file with a bigger seeder-over-leecher ratio.

These are just some of the tips on how to download movies on the net. And there are countless of possibilities for you to enjoy your favorite movies online. All it takes is a stable internet connection and patience—because movie downloading can take hours or even days.

10 Ways to Discover New Music - By Hugh Gallagher

|
I listen to music and songs all the time; at home, at work, in the car, sometimes even to help me sleep. But without the ability to find new music, I would soon get bored of the same old play lists. I've tried different methods over the years to expand my musical tastes, so hopefully some of these can be useful to somebody else.

1) BBC iPlayer Radio

Now I'm not a great fan of everything played on mainstream radio stations, including the BBC ones, but I do really enjoy using the BBC iPlayer radio. Annoyingly the BBC seems to have the habit of putting all it's niche shows on at stupids hours of the day, when nobody is listening, but with the iPlayer you can simple pick any of these shows from the last 7 days, and re-listen to it on your PC.

2) Music store latest releases

I find my local music stores pretty uninspiring at times, but it doesn't stop me walking in to check out the new releases, and staff recommendations stand. They may only have a handful of CDs in them at a time, but every few weeks I will walk in, scoop up a copy of each CD, and stroll over to a listening post to review my selection.

3) Last.fm

There are many social music sites about, but I seem to have made the most use of Last.fm. A simple plug-in to iTunes allows it to monitor all the music I listen to on my PC and iPod, and uploads the data to the Last.fm website. It's very interesting to be able to see some statistics on your listening habits, but it's most useful feature is the ability to view the listening habits of people that are deemed statistically similar to you. You can browse through your musical neighbors, looking out for bands that they listen to but you are not familiar with, and then even listen to sample tracks of them using the built in music player.

4) Pandora.com

Pandora is an automated music recommendation service, which allows you to input a band or track you enjoy, and it will build you a radio station of similar music for you to listen to. I used Pandora for about a year until sadly the service was restricted to only be available in the USA, although many similar services have popped up since, such as One Llama.

5) Go to gigs

Going to see a band you love live is fantastic, but often it's easy to underestimate the support bands. Support bands tend to be up and coming, or local bands you wouldn't normally run into, so are a great source of new sounds.

6) Pick up a music magazine

I confess I don't often buy music magazines, as I find the articles a waste of time. It might sound cheap, but often in shops I will pick up a copy of Kerrang, or the NME, and flip through to the new releases section, have a quick read and then return it to the shelf. I make a mental note of the bands, and then look them up later on the Internet, when I get home.

7) iTunes

I often use the iTunes store to search for and listen to samples of bands I'm investigating, such as ones I found on Last.fm. You may only have the ability to listen to short samples, but the iTunes catalog is vast, which means you've got a good chance of finding what your looking for. Once in a blue moon I even purchase using the store, as I'm to damn impatient, and can't wait for a CD to be delivered.

8) Magnatune

I discovered Magnatune at work, where I use an Ubuntu based Linux box for my daily tasks. The latest version of Rhythmbox that comes with the operating system, has been integrated with the Magnatune service. Magnatune allows you to listen to all the music you want for free, and even purchase songs using a “Pay what you deem fair” system. The music isn't very mainstream, but selecting a bunch of tracks and playing them on random keeps me entertained.

9) Put you MP3 Player on random

I have a large MP3 collection, which played end to end would span many weeks. It's very easy to find you have music you hardly ever, or never listen to. Putting your player on random, can often help your rediscover some hidden gems.

10) Ask your friends

Don't under estimate your friends or co-workers, even if they do seem to have lame taste in music. It's good to take interest in what other people are listening to, as it helps you diversify your listening habits, and explore something you wouldn't usually listen to
